Crockpot Roast To Die For!

So my DH finally gets home today - YAY! And I have been so busy these last few days getting our house converted into a home and getting somewhat of a menu ready for him. I'm so excited - like a lil kid on Christmas. So excited, nervous, anxious - and just can't wait! I haven't seen my hubby since the 19th of January, at the airport after arriving home from our wonderful honeymoon in Cuba. So, now, he's finally going to be home! Here's what's on the menu for tonights supper.

CROCKPOT ROAST TO DIE FOR!
1 roast
2 Tbsp cracked peppercorns
2 cloves of garlic
3 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp dry mustard

1. Cut small slits in the roast. Rub with the cracked pepper and garlic.
2. In a small bowl, mix remaining ingredients (except the roast of course).
3. Put in a crockpot and cook on high for 4-5 hours or 8-10 hours on low.

How I alter this recipe is I add about 4 potatoes cut up, 4 carrots cut up, and some celery and onion in the bottom of the crockpot. If I have time I baste the roast and veggies a few times during cooking. It's delicious and to die for. And, this is the first thing I ever made for my DH and he said he liked it so I'm making it for him again. The poor guy has been living on canned soup or chili or frozen meals since he's been out in the field. Well, that changes now. =)

Until next time...happy cooking. =)
